大约1,400 students per year are served at JCAE’s six program centers located throughout Johnson County. Students receive instruction in English as a Second Language (非母语英语课程), Adult Basic Education, and GED® preparation and high school diploma completion.
- JCAE serves significant numbers of special populations. We gladly serve any student who meets federal Adult Education and Family Literacy Act guidelines.
- JCAE helps adults improve basic skills, including English language proficiency, 阅读, 写作, 数学, 电脑使用情况, 解决问题, and other “soft” skills critical for success.
- JCAE connects with individuals who are at pivotal stages and helps them “dream bigger dreams,” set specific career and life goals (including plans for overcoming obstacles) and adopt concrete plans to achieve the goals. With significant encouragement from instructors, 过渡教练, 和志愿者, our students come to see JCAE as their first step in a long-term plan for a successful career that aligns with their interests and with local employer demands.

每年, JCAE volunteers serve approximately 10,000 hours in classrooms tutoring students in 阅读, 写作, 数学, and English language acquisition. This scholarship recognizes and honors their valuable contributions by providing up to $2400 to students pursuing an associate degree or vocational certificate at 赌钱app可以微信提现.
The Johnson County Adult Education (JCAE) Advancing Newcomers Careers Scholarship supports students who have completed one English Language class at JCAE by paying tuition for up to 12 credit hours at 赌钱app可以微信提现 over the course of the next academic year.
